New Club Champion

Congratulations to Stuart Isbister who is the new Sighthill Bowling Club champion. Stuart beat Adam Melrose 21-19 in a very swings and roundabouts game.

Adam was up 19-17 at the last end but was was 2 shots down in that end. Adam tried to drive his last bowl to clear but unfortunately wickied off a bowl knocking Stuart in for a 3 leaving him needing only a draw with his last shot to win the end with 4 shots and the game overall.

Again, congratulations to Stuart Isbister and commiserations to Adam Melrose.

Colin Kimber Fundraiser

Remember that this Saturday, the 12th August we are holding a fundraiser for Sean Kelly’s stepson Colin Kimber.

Colin has been diagnosed with a terminal stage 4 brain tumour and we are trying to fundraise so he can enjoy the time he has left with his family as much as he can.

Please, if you can, join us at the club on Saturday from 12:30. If you can’t be there then any donation you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance 👍

Sighthill v East Calder

We played Eat Calder today in the John Fraser memorial. What an absolutely fantastic day it was. Sighthill won by 112 – 72.

The whole day was enjoyed by everyone with everyone commenting on how enjoyable their games were, the good company within each rink and the general atmosphere during the whole day..

No doubt next year will be equally enjoyable between two clubs who have such a great relationship with each other.

Looking forward to next year guys and thank you for such an entertaining day.

Wednesday EBA Results

WEDNESDAY EBA RESULTS
First 16 were away to Northern BC and were hoping for a convincing win but it was not to be. It was still a win for the First 16 but it was only a 5-4 win. The total shots was 69-61. The win keeps the First 16 in 2nd place with two games to go.
Second 16 were at home to league leaders Corstorphine BC and the Second 16 put up a fine performance to win 5-4. The total shots was 72-65. The win moves the 2nd 16 to 5th place. With 2 games to go a few points are still required to avoid the potential drop but it’s in our own hands.
Well done to both teams on their wins.
