Booking A Rink

Bowling will ‘hopefully’ start this week. We have been working hard to get a booking system in place for the rinks. There are rules that will need to be followed and they will be listed along with the booking form so please familiarise yourselves with them when the booking form goes live.

The link to the form is now on the website in the top menu. I’ve attached images to show you exactly where. The link is not live yet and takes you nowhere but it will be active whenever the club opens for bookings. I believe this may be this Thursday 28th for play on Friday 29th.

Due to social distancing guidelines, spectators and visitors are NOT ALLOWED in the club, it is strictly for play only. Therefore only members are permitted to book and play as long as they have a booking for a rink. Any questions regarding the policies then obviously you can always ask a committee member to clarify.

Booking a rink has some policies to allow fair participation although these may or may not be changed from now until opening pending review.

A digest of policies:

  • Rinks are booked on first come first served.
  • Rinks are allocated on first come first choice.
  • You can book a maximum of 1 x rink per day.
  • You can only book for the following 3 days eg. If today is Sunday, you can book for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. You will have to wait until Monday to book for Wednesday and so on.
  • A booking can and will be cancelled if found to be violating the policies of booking a green.

Ok that’s about it, I hope that all made some sort of sense. Take care and we’ll see you soon at the club (we hope).

Government announcement

Afternoon all.

Scotland’s First Minister has announced today that as from the 28th May, bowls can resume.

We now await a statement from Bowls Scotland with the guidelines that Clubs have to follow. The Committee will be meeting to discuss further.

We will update you all once we have more information.

Greens Are Waiting For You

I was at the club today as I was curious how the greens were looking. Happy to report (and show) that they are looking in great condition, as they should be.

Theres also a 30 second video panning across them.
