Colin Kimber Fundraiser

Remember that this Saturday, the 12th August we are holding a fundraiser for Sean Kelly’s stepson Colin Kimber.

Colin has been diagnosed with a terminal stage 4 brain tumour and we are trying to fundraise so he can enjoy the time he has left with his family as much as he can.

Please, if you can, join us at the club on Saturday from 12:30. If you can’t be there then any donation you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance 👍

Sighthill v East Calder

We played Eat Calder today in the John Fraser memorial. What an absolutely fantastic day it was. Sighthill won by 112 – 72.

The whole day was enjoyed by everyone with everyone commenting on how enjoyable their games were, the good company within each rink and the general atmosphere during the whole day..

No doubt next year will be equally enjoyable between two clubs who have such a great relationship with each other.

Looking forward to next year guys and thank you for such an entertaining day.

Forsyth Trophy

Congratulations to Ewan MacIntosh and Andy Donald who won the Forsyth Trophy today. They beat David Ferguson and Steven Riley in the final.

A pretty windy day throughout which affected most players delivery but it wasn’t a cold day and actually turned out to be very warm at the end. Great day had by all.

Well played everyone who took part.

Chris Walsh Memorial Winners

What a terrific day was had by everyone. Weather was fantastic and some surprising results on the day.

Stuart Taylor, Andy Duff and Ross Hendry defeated Sean Kelly, John Green and George Aitken to become the winning finalists this year.

Overall though, there were no losers on the day. Everyone had a great time as usual and it was all in good fun and great memories shared of Chris.

Chris Walsh Memorial

The Chris Walsh Memorial Event is set to take place on May 20th this year, in honour of our beloved friend who we lost too soon. It promises to be a day filled with fun and laughter, as we remember the wonderful memories we shared with Chris.

The event is open to all who knew Chris, and we encourage you to come along and celebrate his life with us. The event will be held at Sighthill Bowling Club, providing the perfect setting for a day of remembrance and celebration.

Chris was a much-loved member of our club, known for his infectious personality and kind heart. He touched the lives of many, and his loss has been deeply felt by all who knew him.

We encourage all who knew Chris to attend the event, helping to keep Chris’s memory alive and reminding us of the wonderful person he was.

The Chris Walsh Memorial Event promises to be a day filled with love, laughter and memories. It is a chance for us to come together as a club, to celebrate the life of our dear friend and to honour his memory and the impact he had on our lives.

We hope to see you there.
